Love shows itself in different ways, and today we'd like to thank everyone for their love and support for helping us grow in the past year and a half. Many of you have not only financially supported us, but have also given us wise advice and the extra motivation to keep us going. With your love, we've been able to spread a bit of love outside the US to the tiny village of Kaberamaido, Uganda.
In the spirit of love (and in keeping with our motto of "made with love, for love", we'd like everyone to do the following today:
As you sit back and enjoy that decadent box of chocolate or admire that piece of timeless jewelry from your significant other, think about how that piece of chocolate or diamond came to belong in your hands. Where did it originate? Who helped create it? And finally, does your purchase positively impact someone else? Think about how many places that product has traveled within the supply chain, starting from its origin. Then ask yourself, has that product been made in a socially ethical and conscious way? Chances are, the answer is no. In a world where change is possible starting with one person, you can make a difference by making sure that you are buying goods from organizations that are striving for change.
